It is my privilege to welcome you to our 2021 Evidence-Based Practice Poster Day. It continues to be a mostly virtual educational world during the COVID-19 pandemic, and so our Poster Day is virtual too. But we are still teaching research and integrating best evidence for practice into our clinical courses.

Your posters are exemplars that demonstrate the best evidence for practice. As always, this Poster Day is interdisciplinary including students from nursing, speech language pathology, and physical therapy. Your posters cover topics including some related to COVID-19 such as Determinants of Vaccine Acceptance and Self-Reported Compensatory Strategies among Adult Speakers Wearing Face Masks; and some related to health outcomes across the life span such as Vocabulary Characteristics in Late Talking Toddlers, Perspective-Taking Skills via Computer Instruction in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Health Risks of Vaping for College Students, Prevention of Perinatal Depression, Racial Disparities in Maternal Mortality, Change from Sliding-Scale to Basal-Bolus Insulin, Effect of a Cooling Vest on Walking Endurance in Persons with Multiple Sclerosis, Telephone Coaching to Increase CPAP Adherence, and Transfer Effects of Gesture Training.

I hope you enjoy reviewing these posters and take away new found knowledge to inform your practice. Thank you for attending, and hopefully next year we will be able to be physically present for this event.
